"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth." - Hebrews 11:13There is one final step to following faith - time!
Faith followers of the past did not all receive during their earthly journey what they were wanting, neither did they all receive immediately. Sure, by faith Abraham received his son, Daniel didn't get eaten by the lions, and incredibly small armies defeated incredibly large enemies, but the Bible also points to others who received their reward later.
Some children never come to Christ while their parents are alive, yet those parents hold on in faith because of a longer view of life than their breathing.
God is for eternity, our life is for eternity, faith is for eternity.
Be willing to take that last step, the step of time.
